My usual - but very rare - blog update on Friday is always about family. Somehow, today which is Friday falls on 10 Feb 2012.
It has been 10 years...
My dear Ayah passed away on this very date at approximately 7.15am 10 years ago.
Then, it was Sunday morning...
Then, I was working in KL...
Then, I was still single...
Then, my sister Affaf was in the midst of her Final year exam...
Then, my sister tecerwidad was in the midst of her Matriculation exam...
Then, my youngest sister diaribudakcomot was in 2ndary school
Then...then...then....
Huh...I would not be able to remember that much...
Deep in my heart I regretted a bit not being at his side when he passed away...
But knowing that I have actually spent 2 full weeks - taking turn with my brothers & mom - by his side when he started falling sick a day before Eidil Fitri 2001 & continued to be bedridden thereafter; I felt contented...
In its truthful form...my Ayah is fierce, firm & no nonsense father...
He did has his sense of humour now & then but definitely; what ever he was then...he was the one who made me who I am today!
I believed I inherited lots from him...bit of his temper, tendency to debate things, having the last words in arguments - well not all the time - yeahh...I very much molded by what I saw in my Ayah...
Though I might not be his favourite daughter...
Thank You Allah for letting me be his daughter...
May Ayah being placed in Jannah together with Your chosen ones...
